Transfer Diplomas: Direct Transfer Agreements – Our two-year Transfer Associate Degrees are designed for students pursuing a bachelor`s degree at a four-year university. We offer these diplomas as part of the transfer agreement of the Commission on Intercollegiate Relations (ICRC). SUNY Corning Community College (SUNY CCC) and Bellevue University (Bellevue, Nebraska) have entered into a transfer agreement that allows SUNY CCC students to earn their bachelor`s degrees in a variety of academic programs. Students who wish to transfer to Bellevue University under this agreement are strongly encouraged to earn an associate degree from SUNY CCC, approximately 60 credit hours, prior to the transfer. Bellevue and SUNY CCC will work together to meet the mutual needs of students using this partnership.

Direct Transfer Agreements (DTAs) are government-approved agreements that determine which courses are considered equivalent to earning the same degree at two different institutions. Students who move to Bellevue with an associate degree from SUNY CCC will receive credits for all courses in their program of study and will enter Bellevue University with junior status. This applies to both classic bachelor`s degree programs and accelerated bachelor`s degree programs. Official transcripts are required prior to admission. If you have attended multiple colleges, please submit each transcript separately. To transfer credits, we need to see the original transcript of the school where you took the lessons. For example, if you took courses at Cascadia College and then transferred to the University of Washington, you will need to send the two transcripts separately. Please do not wait for your credits to be transferred. You can apply for the degree even if your credits have not yet been transferred.

Often referred to as a type of transfer agreement that is not covered by regular transfer scenarios. Washington State has a common course numbering system for two-year schools. This means that some schools offer identical courses that have the same number. If two schools offer the same common course, they are considered to be identical and direct equivalent. Common courses have the sign of ampersand (&). For example, ENGL & 101 is a common course. If you took ENGL &101 to another school, it will transfer to Bellevue College as ENGL & 101. If there is no ampersand (&), it is not a common course and it is not guaranteed to be the same. For example, “ENGL 101” is not a common course because it does not contain the ampersand (&).
